FAQ Generator
Paste your page content or enter a URL to get a draft set of frequently asked questions and answers grounded in what the page already says — written to drop straight into an FAQ section or FAQPage structured data.
How it works
Enter a page URL, or switch modes and paste your own content directly.
The tool reads the page’s headings and body text to find topics visitors are likely to ask about.
AI drafts questions and concise answers grounded only in what the content already states — no facts are invented.
Edit any question or answer directly in the output, then copy the FAQ text or the generated FAQPage JSON-LD.
Add the FAQ section to your page, and use our Schema Markup Checker to confirm the JSON-LD is valid once it is live.
Frequently asked questions
What makes a good FAQ question and answer?
Good FAQ questions use the phrasing a real visitor would type or say — specific and conversational, not marketing headlines. Answers should lead with the direct answer in the first sentence, then add necessary context in one or two more sentences; a paragraph of hedging before the actual answer defeats the format’s purpose. Keep each Q&A self-contained so it makes sense whether someone reads the whole page or an assistant quotes just that one pair.
Does adding FAQ schema guarantee my questions show up in Google or AI Overviews?
No. FAQPage structured data makes your Q&A content eligible for expanded treatment in search results and easier for AI systems to parse, but eligibility is not the same as guaranteed display. Google has also restricted rich-result FAQ eligibility mainly to certain site types over time, so check current guidelines before relying on the visual snippet. Treat FAQ schema as a clarity and structure improvement, not a promised placement.
Should FAQ content repeat what is already on the page, or add new information?
Good FAQs mostly reformat and clarify what the page already covers — pulling out the specific questions buried in longer paragraphs and answering them directly. That said, a few genuinely new, narrowly scoped questions (edge cases, pricing specifics, compatibility) can add real value if they are accurate and something visitors actually ask. Never invent claims or numbers just to fill out a question — inaccurate FAQ content misleads both readers and any AI system that later quotes it.
How many FAQ questions should a page have?
There is no fixed number — quality and relevance matter more than count. Five to eight focused questions that address real visitor uncertainty usually outperform fifteen thin, overlapping ones. If you cannot write a specific, non-redundant answer for a question, it likely does not need to be in the FAQ; padding the section dilutes the ones that matter.
Can FAQ content help pages get cited by AI assistants?
FAQ-formatted content pairs a clear question with a direct, self-contained answer, which is exactly the shape AI assistants extract well when responding to similar queries. That structural clarity can make your content easier to summarize accurately, but it does not guarantee an assistant will choose your page as its source. As with schema and readability generally, FAQs improve how understandable your content is — visibility in any specific AI product still depends on factors outside any single page.
