Long-tail keywords are the longest keywords or phrases and are very specific. They usually have low search traffic so they are easier to rank for. 

Short-tail keywords are much shorter and more general than long-tail ones. These terms are pretty generic and are difficult to rank for because they have such high search volume. 

There are different tools on the Internet to determine your keywords. Don't just guess at what your target audience is looking for. Actually do your research. 

Start typing into Google and then see what it suggests. This is one way to identify some targeted keywords. You can also use other free and paid keyword tools to determine what people are looking for. 

2. Create Quality Content

Once you identify the keywords you want to rank for, you need to create quality content. If you don't already have a blog on your website, you should add one. 

Don't just keyword stuff some random blog posts, though. Using your keywords, create quality content (or outsource it) that appropriately incorporates keywords that will help you rank on Google and other search engines.

Search engines have their own algorithms to rank sites, so you want to make sure you understand what it takes to rank, what the algorithm looks for, and what types of content will actually result in a lower ranking (e.g., keyword stuffing). 

3. Link Building 

One way to build links to your content is to purchase content that will include your site's link in the post. This will drive traffic to your site, which drives up your site visitors as well as your search rankings. There are different services out there, but basically, this is a way for you to target certain posts on your site by paying for backlinks to your blog.
